Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- six months or less of related work experience
- ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions
- ability to perform simple addition and subtraction
- ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
- must be able to work night and weekend shifts
- successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
- adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
- reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- make an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name whenever possible
- assist customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading/unloading heavy items, making note of customer suggestions, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service including taking customer orders
- take customer orders at the counter
- work with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- handle food safely and keep work area clean and neat
- review food status and appearance for freshness
- ensure adequate food supply is ready and follow production list
- anticipate daily product needs for the department
- prepare and replenish products as necessary
- check in product, put product away, and review invoices
- run department registers and handle payments where applicable
- remove trash in a timely manner
- maintain strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
- adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- report to work when scheduled and on time
- wash dishes as necessary
- order products and supplies as needed
- price products for customers
- assist in other store areas as needed
- perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
