Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of relevant barista experience or 2+ years in fast-paced coffee environments
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency with POS systems
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 40lbs
- Commitment to maintaining grooming and cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years working as a barista in specialty coffee or 2+ years in non-specialty coffee environments
- Experience working in fast-paced, high volume settings
- Ability to operate POS systems
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Passion for customer service
Job Duties
- Follows BL recipes and presentation standards in a timely manner
- Manages coffee shop equipment and tool cleaning and maintenance
- Follows BL operating procedures and processes including completing transactions accurately
- Dials machine in and maintains consistent espresso extraction per Bluestone Lane brew ratios
- Educates and upsells customers while training new baristas
- Contributes to improving workflow and operations
- Maintains cleanliness and restocks condiment stations
- Builds positive customer interactions remembering names and orders
- Completes store opening and closing procedures accurately
