Job Requirements
- Must be able to physically perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- vision requirements include clarity at distances more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
- must perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- employment contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school or equivalent experience
- six months or less of similar or related work experience
- ability to follow detailed but uninvolved instructions
- ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- capable of writing identifying information
- able to request supplies orally or in writing
- possess good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
- assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting customer suggestions
- answers the telephone and takes customer orders
- takes customer orders at the counter
- works with co-workers as a team
- handles food safely and ensures cleanliness
- reviews the freshness and appearance of food
- ensures adequate food supply and follows production lists
- anticipates daily product needs
- prepares and replenishes product
- checks in and puts away product
- operates department registers and handles payments
- removes trash in a timely manner
- maintains strict adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
- adheres to company policies
- reports to work on time
- washes dishes as necessary
- orders products and supplies
- prices products
- assists in store areas as needed
- performs other related duties
