Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to physically perform medium work including exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must be able to work overnight shifts
- Must be able to understand and follow safety and hygiene guidelines
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information
- Ability to request supplies orally or in writing
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer requests, and other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service including taking customer orders
- Take customer orders at the counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handle food in a safe manner and ensure the work area is always clean and neat
- Review food status and appearance for freshness
- Ensure an adequate food supply is ready and develop or follow production lists
- Anticipate product needs daily
- Prepare and replenish products as necessary
- Check in products, put them away, and review invoices as needed
- Run the department registers and receive payments, making change where applicable
- Remove trash in a timely manner
- Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines
- Report to work when scheduled and on time
