Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent
- six months or less of similar or related work experience
- ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- ability to perform simple addition and subtraction
- ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- ability to write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing
- ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- required clarity of vision, color vision, depth perception and field of vision
- ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- learn customers' names and address them by name when possible
- assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading heavy items, noting customer suggestions, performing tasks to enhance shopping
- answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly service and take orders
- take customer orders at the counter
- work with co-workers as a team
- handle food safely and keep work area clean and neat
- review the status and appearance of food for freshness
- ensure adequate food supply is ready and follow production list
- anticipate product needs daily
- prepare and replenish product
- check in product and review invoices
- run department registers and handle payment transactions
- remove trash timely
- maintain strict adherence to company and department guidelines on hygiene and dress
- adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- report to work scheduled and on time
