Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certification as a Food Service Manager in applicable state within six (6) months of employment / promotion
  • Previous retail foodservice experience
  • Wait staff, host / hostess / maitre'd experience
  • Cash register operation
  • Proven track record in customer service

Job Duties

  • Set up fresh, eye appealing displays that promote sales for the bistro
  • Stock all food and supplies to meet the needs of the unit
  • Act as a liaison for the Nutrition Department and St. Elizabeth Healthcare when serving customers and associates
  • Process orders accurately and offer assistance as needed
  • Communicate in a professional caring manner when serving customers
  • Efficient handling of cash register duties and follow proper accounting and cash handling practices to provide accuracy with all transactions, and follow all opening and closing procedures
  • Assemble and prepare food items for the bistro, physician lounge and cafe as required
  • Operate and maintain bistro equipment
  • Report any equipment concerns and repair needs in a timely manner
  • Compliance with all local, state, federal and medical center regulatory, safety, sanitation and security standards
  • Participate in performance improvement (PI) studies
  • assist with data collection and supports action plans
  • Performs other duties as assigned
