Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification as a Food Service Manager in applicable state within six (6) months of employment / promotion
- Previous retail foodservice experience
- Wait staff, host / hostess / maitre'd experience
- Cash register operation
- Proven track record in customer service

Job Duties
- Set up fresh, eye appealing displays that promote sales for the bistro
- Stock all food and supplies to meet the needs of the unit
- Act as a liaison for the Nutrition Department and St. Elizabeth Healthcare when serving customers and associates
- Process orders accurately and offer assistance as needed
- Communicate in a professional caring manner when serving customers
- Efficient handling of cash register duties and follow proper accounting and cash handling practices to provide accuracy with all transactions, and follow all opening and closing procedures
- Assemble and prepare food items for the bistro, physician lounge and cafe as required
- Operate and maintain bistro equipment
- Report any equipment concerns and repair needs in a timely manner
- Compliance with all local, state, federal and medical center regulatory, safety, sanitation and security standards
- Participate in performance improvement (PI) studies
- assist with data collection and supports action plans
- Performs other duties as assigned
