Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in grocery retail or related supervision preferred
- strong customer service skills
- effective communication and leadership abilities
- basic math skills for inventory and ordering
- ability to work in cold environments
- physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods
- must comply with company and legal policies
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables as they are presented
- ability to do simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording
- ability to understand and follow written, verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing
- visual clarity at a distance of less than 20 inches to less than 20 feet with color vision and depth perception
- ability to read product descriptions on boxes and shelf tags to order product and place merchandise properly
- flexibility to work shifts varying in length and times, including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
- train, coach, supervise, and evaluate grocery associates to maintain performance standards
- supervise and participate in all grocery, dairy, and frozen activities
- supervise store in the absence of store director or assistant store director
- monitor and enforce all government and company regulations
- maintain customer service levels and handle multiple priorities
- ensure safe handling and storage of products in cooler and freezer environments
