Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in retail or grocery supervision preferred
- Ability to work in cold environments
- Ability to use sharp knives safely
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to handle lifting and standing for long periods
- Availability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle multiple variables
- Ability to do simple arithmetic including addition, subtraction, counting, and recording
- Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information and request supplies both orally and in writing
- Visual acuity to see clearly at distances from less than 20 inches to less than 20 feet with color vision and depth perception
- Ability to read product descriptions on boxes and shelf tags for proper product ordering and placement
- Flexibility to work shifts of varying lengths including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
- Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate grocery associates
- Maintain performance standards in grocery, dairy, and frozen departments
- Supervise store operations in the absence of Store Director or Assistant Store Director
- Monitor and enforce compliance with government and company regulations
- Handle temperature-sensitive products safely in coolers and freezers
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
