Job Duties
- fulfill opening and closing tasks such as organizing supplies and necessary instruments
- clean all equipment and areas
- lock doors at closing time
- organize, stock and maintain work areas
- enter orders into the cash register system and collect payments from customers
- take orders, enter them into the MICROS system and prepare food and coffee
- ensure appliances like coffee makers are turned on and off at proper times
- clean tables and coffee cart areas
- maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day
- obtain necessary change for expected transaction levels
- compute cash register at shift end, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, hand out receipts and secure the cash register
- comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
- complete safety training and certifications
- ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional
- maintain privacy of company information and protect company assets
- support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect
- assist team to achieve common goals
- meet quality assurance expectations and standards
- move, lift, transport, push, drag and place objects under 25 pounds without assistance
- stand, sit or walk for extended periods or throughout the entire shift
- read and visually verify information in various formats such as fine print
- inspect tools, equipment or machines visually for defects
- grasp, turn and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights requiring fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination
- reach above head and below knees including bending, twisting, dragging and leaning
- navigate narrow, confined or elevated spaces
- climb service stairs or ramps
- greet and recognize all guests according to company standards
- communicate clearly and professionally with others including answering telephone calls with proper etiquette
- perform other reasonable work tasks requested by supervisors
