Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • no prior related work experience required
  • no supervisory experience required
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • ability to read and verify information visually
  • ability to manipulate objects with good hand-eye coordination
  • ability to reach overhead and below the knees
  • ability to bend, twist, drag, lean
  • ability to move through confined or elevated spaces
  • ability to ascend and descend stairs and ramps
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • willingness to comply with company safety policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to use point-of-sale systems such as the MICROS system
  • strong communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
  • customer service experience is a plus but not required
  • ability to work flexible part-time hours
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • good physical stamina for standing and moving for extended periods
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage service practices

Job Duties

  • Fulfill opening and closing duties such as organizing provisions and necessary instruments
  • clean all equipment and areas
  • secure doors by locking
  • organize, supply and maintain work areas
  • enter orders into the cash register system and collect payments
  • take orders, enter them into the MICROS system, and prepare food and coffee
  • ensure appliances like coffee machines are operated at appropriate times
  • clean tables and coffee cart areas
  • maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day
  • obtain the necessary change for expected transaction levels
  • balance cash register at the end of shifts
  • complete designated cashier reports
  • resolve discrepancies
  • deliver receipts
  • ensure cash register security
  • comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
  • complete required safety training and certifications
  • maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
  • protect company information privacy and assets
  • support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect
  • assist the team to achieve shared goals
  • meet quality assurance expectations and standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, drag, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
  • read and visually verify information
  • inspect tools, equipment or machines to identify defects
  • perform fine motor tasks requiring eye-hand coordination
  • reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist waist, drag and lean
