Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in coffee preparation preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must comply with health and safety standards
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with various coffee beans and blends helpful
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques
- Prior cash handling experience
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages including espressos lattes and cappuccinos
- Engage with customers taking their orders and providing recommendations
- Create latte art and ensure each drink is beautifully presented
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including coffee machines and equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure quality and freshness of coffee products
- Upsell additional items such as pastries snacks or merchandise
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register accurately
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service ensuring each guest feels welcomed and valued
