Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and dependable

Job Duties

  • Provides information for program maintenance and evaluation, meets policies, procedures, licensing and certification regulations by collecting, recording and charting data, including electronically maintained records
  • Maintains program participants' cleanliness, comfort and well-being and facilitates development and maintenance of self-help and daily living skills by providing guidance and assistance in personal hygiene tasks
  • Facilitates program implementation by preparing materials for participant-related activities or projects as needed
  • Maintains program participant's health and well-being by promoting and encouraging self-administration of medications, administering medication, documenting medication administration and errors, observing and reporting changes in behavior and physical and mental appearance
  • Protects program participants and employees by applying emergency first aid and CPR procedures
  • Observes and maintains confidentiality by treating information regarding program participants with discretion and complying with confidentiality policies and procedures
