Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a restaurant or customer service environment preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must pass background check and drug screening
- adherence to all health and safety guidelines
- ability to handle physical demands of the job
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand and walk 100% of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop frequently
- able to deliver plates and clear tables which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
- ability to speak, read and write English
- ability to read and write handwritten guest checks and notes
- complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program
- complete and pass food safety certification program
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance and food/drink running as needed
- be knowledgeable about food and beverage menus and current promotions and specials
- accurately write down guests' orders and enter them into the POS system in a timely manner
- retrieve food or drink orders from the kitchen or bar and deliver them to guests promptly
- assess guests' demeanor and identify when to summon a manager
- collect guests' payments including credit cards, cash, or gift cards, ensure transaction accuracy using POS, and deliver correct change timely
- perform shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned sidework
- restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
