Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous dishwashing or kitchen cleaning experience preferred
- ability to stand and walk for entire shift
- physical strength to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- completion of food safety certification program
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- good communication skills
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand/walk 100 percent of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop
- can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- ability to speak, read and write English
- able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- support fellow employees as needed
- complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
- maintain kitchen area cleanliness
- sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
- perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
- prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
