Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen sanitation experience is an asset
- Ability to follow detailed sanitation procedures
- Must be physically able to stand and walk during entire shift
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in hot, damp environments
- Must have basic English communication skills
- Willingness to complete food safety certification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Reliable and team-oriented attitude
Job Qualifications
- Be able to physically stand and walk 100 percent of shift
- Ability to reach, bend, and stoop
- Ability to immerse hands in water frequently diluted with chemical solutions
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds several times per shift and place these loads on high shelves, coolers, and freezers
- Ability to work in damp, high temperature environments indoors and minimally outdoors
- Work safely with hot plates, pots, and pans
- Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- Clean and sanitize throughout shift
- Maintain kitchen area cleanliness including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floors
- Perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, beautification duties
- Prepare and maintain dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
