Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 1 year of related work experience
- ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- ability to move over uneven or slippery surfaces
- ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- maintain personal appearance clean and professional
- complete safety training and certifications
- ability to work part-time
- availability to work on-site at The Royal Hawaiian
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- at least 1 year of related work experience
- no supervisory experience
- clear and professional communication skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Job Duties
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
- set tables according to type of event and service standards
- answer questions on menu selections
- communicate with kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability
- communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to kitchen
- record transactions in MICROS system at time of order
- check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage
- maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, throughout the day
- complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights
- present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment
