Job Requirements
- Meet the minimum legal age requirements for serving or handling alcoholic beverages according to local regulations
- Be approachable and able to maintain a courteous and friendly attitude during busy periods
- Be available to work various shifts including weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Flourish in a lively, fast-paced setting with moderate to high background noise
- Understand and effectively communicate instructions and information
- Be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
- Move efficiently within the bar area and remain standing for extended periods
- Be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of the work shift
- Frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces to maintain cleanliness and stock
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
- Basic knowledge of responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
- Ability to maintain composure and friendliness under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist others
Job Duties
- Contributes significantly to providing excellent drink service that complements food and entertainment, enhancing fun and excitement for guests
- Keeps the bartender and supervisor informed of low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions, taking immediate action or suggesting resolutions
- Provides timely support by replenishing bar essentials, preparing drink garnishes, and ensuring adequate ice supplies to minimize guest wait times
- Maintains a positive and helpful demeanor while supporting bartenders and anticipating their needs during peak periods
- Aids with guest inquiries by communicating information to bartenders and ensuring the bar environment is clean and well-organized
- Supports bartenders by retrieving necessary ingredients, glassware, and other items quickly and efficiently
- Ensures used glassware is promptly collected and the bar area remains neat and organized throughout service
