Job Requirements
- Be approachable and maintain a courteous and friendly attitude even during busy periods
- Be available to work various shifts, including weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends
- Flourish in a lively, fast-paced setting with moderate to high background noise
- Understand and effectively communicate instructions and information
- Be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
- Move efficiently within the bar area and remain standing for extended periods
- Walk or stand for the entire duration of the work shift
- Frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar
- Meet minimum legal age requirements for serving or handling alcoholic beverages according to local regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or bar support is preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of bar equipment and supplies helpful
Job Duties
- Contributes significantly to providing excellent drink service that complements food and entertainment, enhancing the overall guest experience
- Keeps the bartender and immediate supervisor promptly informed of low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions and takes immediate action or suggests resolutions
- Provides timely support by efficiently replenishing bar essentials, preparing drink garnishes, and ensuring ice supplies are adequate
- Maintains a positive and helpful demeanor while supporting bartenders and anticipating their needs during peak service periods
- Aids with guest inquiries by communicating information to the bartender and ensuring the bar environment is clean and well-organized
- Supports the bartender by quickly retrieving necessary ingredients, glassware, and other required items
- Ensures that used glassware is promptly collected and the bar area remains neat and organized throughout service
