Job Requirements
- Handling carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds including bar ware carts boxes bottles
- Ability to efficiently and safely stand and move about the entire facility during each shift
- Bending stooping kneeling lifting
- Must be able to show energetic outgoing fun personality while maintaining professionalism
- Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work nights weekends and/or holidays
- Must meet legal age requirements for alcohol service
- Must have alcohol awareness certification or food service permit as required by law
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast paced food and beverage venue preferably a nightclub
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, and non-alcoholic beverages including designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English
- Other languages preferred
- Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
- Reading and writing abilities for taking orders and completing paperwork
- Basic math skills for handling cash and credit
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
- Serve cocktails and menu items to bar guests
- Up-sell when taking orders
- Show energetic, outgoing, and fun personality while maintaining professionalism
- Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and through point of sales system
- Communicate with guests clearly, patiently, and with good humor
- Be well-versed in all concept products and menu items to guide guest experience and promote sales
- Consistently check guests’ identification to verify legal drinking age
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, notifying management about incidents
- Complete all assigned side work accurately
- Accurately handle sales and payments
- Alert management of service or safety issues
- Make appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure guest satisfaction
- Promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with other departments
- Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receiving food and beverages
