Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED degree or related training equivalent
- at least one year of relevant work experience in a similar scope and title
- experience working within luxury brand markets
- ability to work flexible schedules including varying hours weekly
- ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours daily
- ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds
- ability to use property management systems and follow cash handling procedures
- commitment to maintaining professionalism, neatness, and adherence to sanitation and safety standards
- ability to interact with guests with disabilities and accommodate their needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED degree, or related training equivalent
- minimum of one year relevant work experience in a similar role
- experience within luxury brand or markets
- student or graduate of hotel management preferred
- knowledge of wine, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- knowledge of guest service etiquette and proper food and beverage serving techniques
- proficiency with job-related software, property management systems, and office equipment
- ability to remain calm under pressure and use sound judgment
- ability to multitask and prioritize service at multiple tables
- strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Greet and interact with internal and external guests in a warm and friendly manner using professional nomenclature
- operate the telephone system, answering calls promptly with proper etiquette
- maintain the integrity of guests' privacy and company information
- maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, beer, liquor, and wine
- present the menu, answer questions, and make recommendations regarding food and beverage
- serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally
- clear and reset tables after each course
- assist dining room servers with food and beverage service
- assist with providing tables with beverages
- remove and replace linens
- transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station
- polish silver and glassware
- seat guests in the dining room
- relay orders to kitchen through POS and help serve courses
- total bills and accept payments
- proficiently use property management systems and follow cash handling procedures
- set up bar and dining room swiftly
- assist bartenders as needed
- stock and polish glassware
- complete opening and closing procedures as well as daily side-work
- maintain a neat and organized work area adhering to sanitation standards
- comply with company policies and procedures
- maintain a professional appearance
- follow all safety and security policies
- welcome guests with disabilities and accommodate needs
- develop and maintain positive working relationships and support the team
- attend required training and meetings
- perform other duties as assigned
