Job Requirements
- Ability to work late hours
- available for an average of 3 shifts per week Tuesday to Sunday
- must be experienced cocktail server
- able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
- able to stand and work on feet for extended periods
- tolerate fast-paced, loud, stressful environment
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of cocktail tray service
- basic food service
- responsible alcohol service
- drink recipes and garnishes
- point of sales systems
- 3 years work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
- tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
- Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent
- ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
- cash handling experience preferred
- experience recognizing valid IDs preferred
- experience in a live music environment preferred
Job Duties
- Anticipate and respond to guests' needs
- suggestively sell beverages and menu items
- take orders
- answer guest questions
- make recommendations
- up-sell liquors
- communicate drink orders to bar through Point of Sales system
- deliver drinks maneuvering trays through large crowds
- maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating through your work area
- remove dirty glasses and dishes from tables including lifting/moving bus tubs up to 25 lbs
- keep tables clean and wiped
- clean spills and remove food, trash or obstacles from floor using proper lifting techniques
- maintain company safety and sanitation standards
- keep current on all standard operating procedures
- request identification from guests who appear under 30
- ensure responsible alcohol service per policies and local ordinances
- recognize when guests are intoxicated and refuse further service courteously, notify manager
- receive payment and process cash, credit card or Travelers check transactions
- ensure comp and void checks are processed per policy
- assist other servers and staff as needed
- work occasional special events scheduled throughout the venue
