Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server's License upon hire
- Must successfully pass a stringent background investigation
- Will require pre-employment and random drug screening
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
- Ability to perform physical activities such as balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, finger dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and talking
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and overtime
- Punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment for oneself and others
- Must adhere to health and safety guidelines including sanitation
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service under pressure
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certification
- One year serving experience in an establishment serving beer, wine, and spirits
- Knowledge of beverage offerings including cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers
- Customer focused approach
- Knowledge of local alcohol service regulations
- Proficiency in cash handling and POS systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of bar and restaurant operations
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Maintains high standards of personal hygiene
- Ability to work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors
Job Duties
- Greets guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Takes and accurately records drink orders into the Point-Of-Sale system
- Maintains a professional and approachable attitude
- Monitors and intervenes service to guests who appear intoxicated
- Sets up the cocktail area at beginning of shift and breaks down at closing
- Participates in daily stand-up meetings
- Collects orders from bartender and serves to guests
- Supports a positive and inclusive work environment
- Collaborates with team members to ensure seamless service
- Maintains knowledge of in-house services and local information
- Maintains cleanliness of tables and removes empty glassware
- Identifies opportunities to upsell beverages
- Uses guest names appropriately
- Adheres to uniform standards
- Complies with health and safety guidelines
- Processes guest payments accurately
- Completes opening and closing side work
- Ensures responsible alcohol service including ID checks
- Serves food as required
- Operates POS system and maintains financial integrity
- Maintains punctuality and regular attendance
