Job Requirements

  • Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol
  • have previous experience passionately providing food and beverage service
  • possess strong knowledge in alcohol service and Food Handler certifications
  • have excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written
  • possess a high school diploma, GED, or some college experience or degree recommended
  • be TIPS certified or willing to become certified within 30 days of hire
  • hold a current Food Handlers card
  • have previous similar experience in a professional setting preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
  • set tables according to service standards
  • answer questions on menu selections to guests
  • communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availability
  • communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
  • record transaction in the POS system at time of order
  • check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
  • complete opening and closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
  • present physical and accurate check to guests, and process payments accordingly in a timely manner
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are always clean and professional
  • welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • run food and bus tables when required ensuring a flawless service
  • anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • speak with others using clear and professional language
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
  • thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
