The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is situated in the prestigious Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. This luxury hotel is part of an ambitious new development that features 17 ski lifts, 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels totaling 1,350 rooms, 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" in the world. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- True desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility in scheduling with ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to lift moderate weights
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Previous food service experience required
- Must have current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cocktail server or in food service
- Knowledge of beverage menus and mixology preferred
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Previous hospitality or fine dining experience preferred
- Current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
Job Duties
- Present guests beverage selections
- Gain menu knowledge and recommend drinks
- Engage in casual conversation with guests
- Create a memorable restaurant experience through style and service
- Perform general restaurant preparation
- Maintain a sanitary environment
- Ensure compliance with alcohol server certification and food service permits
