Job Requirements

  • Must meet state legal age requirements
  • at least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced food and beverage venue
  • alcohol awareness certification and/or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
  • ability to handle, carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • ability to efficiently and safely stand and move about the entire facility during each shift
  • strong communication skills
  • must be courteous, pleasant, and hospitable
  • able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of serving in a fast-paced food and beverage venue, preferably a nightclub or lounge environment
  • knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred
  • must meet state legal age requirements
  • must have strong communication skills
  • must be courteous, pleasant, and hospitable
  • alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
  • able to take, record and enter all guest orders, using correct table and position numbers
  • able to calculate split check payments and calculate tips based on tip policy and procedure
  • able to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Live! Hospitality Employee Handbook
  • anticipate and accommodate all needs of the guests
  • provide professional and exceptional service
  • present menus, answer questions and make suggestions for all beverage and food items
  • inform guests of all food and beverage specials, with prices
  • solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest
  • accurately enter all orders into the POS system
  • ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests
  • maintain general cleanliness of assigned stations and entire venue
  • follow supervisor's instructions, communicate with and support co-workers, be a team player
  • possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus
  • serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards
  • follow all company procedures when providing bottle service
  • follow proper cash/payment card procedures
  • comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
  • accurately complete all end-of-shift financial procedures
  • communicate the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, managers and chefs
  • properly set-up cocktail lounge/bar and side stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management including ensuring all lounge furniture is clean and free of debris, setting tables with proper settings, stocking side-stations with prescribed supplies, performing opening & closing side-work as instructed
  • report all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
  • attend and participate in daily pre-shift meetings
  • attend and participate in any training sessions or departmental meetings
  • learn by listening, observing other team members and sharing knowledge while leading by example
  • portray a positive and professional attitude
  • demonstrate knowledge of Live! Hospitality, its partners and the entirety of the estate
  • work as part of a team and provide help and support to all team members
