Job Requirements
- One year serving experience in an establishment that serves beer, wine, and spirits
- must be at least 21 years of age
- high school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
- must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server’s License upon hire
- must be able to pass a stringent background investigation
- subject to pre-employment and random drug screening
Job Qualifications
- Strong understanding of beverage offerings including cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers
- customer focused approach anticipating and fulfilling guest needs
- knowledge of local regulations and laws governing alcohol service
- knowledge of brands, prices, and garnishes
- knowledgeable of basic sanitation requirements
- ability to multitask and manage multiple orders
- ability to understand and relay guest orders via POS
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency in cash handling and transaction processing
- knowledge of bar and restaurant operations
- interpersonal skills to handle difficult or distressed people
- experience with POS systems
- detail oriented with strong customer service focus

Job Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- take and accurately record drink orders into the POS system
- maintain a professional and approachable attitude engaging with guests
- monitor and intervene when guests appear intoxicated, notifying supervisors
- set up and break down cocktail areas at beginning and end of shifts
- participate in daily stand-up meetings
- complete computer-assisted training on time
- collect orders from bartenders, add garnish, and serve with cocktail napkins
- support a positive and inclusive work environment
- collaborate effectively with team members for seamless service
- maintain knowledge of in-house services and local information
- maintain tables by removing empty glassware and clearing tables after guests depart
- identify opportunities to upsell premium beverages
- use guest names when known and offer fond farewells
- adhere to uniform appearance standards
- comply with health and safety guidelines including sanitation
- process guest payments accurately
- complete opening and closing side work
- ensure responsible alcohol service including ID checks
- serve food items as required
- operate POS system and maintain financial controls
- report to work punctually as scheduled
