Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certification
- one year serving experience in an establishment serving beer, wine, and spirits
- minimum age of 21 years
- obtain and maintain New Mexico Alcohol Server's License
- must pass a stringent background investigation
- must undergo pre-employment and random drug screening
- ability to lift at least 25 lbs
- ability to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and overtime
- ability to maintain punctual and regular attendance
- ability to adhere to health and safety standards
- physical capability to perform duties including balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, finger dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and talking
- must maintain high standard of personal hygiene
- ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- One year serving experience in an establishment serving beer, wine, and spirits
- must be at least 21 years of age
- high school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
- strong understanding of beverage offerings including cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers
- customer focused approach
- knowledge of local regulations and laws on alcohol service
- knowledge of brands, prices, and garnishes
- knowledgeable of basic sanitation practices
- ability to multitask and manage orders in a fast-paced environment
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency in cash handling and POS systems
- interpersonal skills
- detail oriented with strong customer service focus
- ability to follow directions and maintain a safe work environment
- ability to work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors
Job Duties
- Greets guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- takes and accurately records drink orders into the POS system
- maintains a professional and approachable attitude
- monitors and intervenes service to intoxicated guests per guidelines
- sets up and breaks down cocktail area at shift start and end
- participates in daily stand-up meetings
- completes required computer-assisted training
- collects orders from bartender and serves to guests
- supports an inclusive work environment
- collaborates effectively with team members
- maintains knowledge of in-house services and local information
- maintains table cleanliness throughout service
- identifies opportunities to upsell beverages
- utilizes guest's name when presenting the tendered bill
- adheres to uniform standards
- complies with health and safety guidelines
- processes guest payments accurately
- completes all opening and closing side work
- ensures responsible alcohol service and checks patron IDs
- serves food items as required
- operates POS system accurately
- maintains punctual and regular attendance
