Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
  • valid Food Handler Certification
  • valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor Card
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • capacity to lift up to 30 pounds
  • excellent communication skills
  • must be available to work Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
  • pastry baking experience preferred
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • must hold a valid Food Handler Certification and Louisiana Responsible Vendor Card
  • must be available to work Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs with restaurant, banquet, and specialty dessert menu preparation
  • greet all guests promptly, courteously, and professionally
  • practice upselling and suggestive selling when taking orders
  • pick up and deliver orders efficiently
  • deliver beverages to guests as needed
  • maintain clean and organized lounge and service areas
  • monitor guest tables
  • ensure service areas are cleaned and cleared regularly
  • process guest payments accurately and courteously upon departure
