Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work inside hotel restaurant and kitchen areas with exposure to humidity, steam, and high temperatures
  • Exposure to food and beverage preparation areas and hazardous cleaning chemicals
  • Frequent contact with food and beverage items

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
  • Pastry baking experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must hold a valid Food Handler Certification and Louisiana Responsible Vendor Card

Job Duties

  • Assist the executive chef and sous chefs with restaurant, banquet, and specialty dessert menu preparation
  • Greet all guests promptly, courteously, and professionally
  • Practice upselling and suggestive selling when taking orders
  • Pick up and deliver orders efficiently
  • Deliver beverages to guests as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized lounge and service areas
  • Monitor guest tables
  • Ensure service areas are cleaned and cleared regularly
  • Process guest payments accurately and courteously upon departure
