Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in fine dining or hotel/resort serving preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • extensive knowledge of beverages including beer wine and spirits
  • ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • excellent communication skills
  • familiarity with POS systems
  • positive attitude and teamwork orientation

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to serve others in a fast-paced environment
  • refined verbal communication skills
  • 2 years of serving experience in fine dining or a hotel/resort environment preferred
  • ability to walk and stand on feet for 6 to 8 hours
  • extensive knowledge of beer wine liquor and coffee
  • comfortable and efficient with quick turnaround tables
  • strong multi-tasking skills
  • excellent time management skills
  • knowledge and experience operating POS systems

Job Duties

  • Clear communication and collaboration with the bar
  • ensure compliance with health and safety codes and policies
  • communicate effectively with guests and colleagues
  • exhibit a positive enthusiastic attitude committed to a teamwork effort
  • treat all colleagues and guests with dignity and respect
  • knowledge of and adherence to all aspects of service standards and business processes outlined in Miraval Training Manual
  • follow specific job duties in opening/closing and side duties
  • perform service standards within specific time frames
  • have awareness of guests and colleagues in room and be attentive to their needs
  • have extensive knowledge of menus prices and an ability to give a flavorful description
  • assist guests in a professional manner to the degree of which they feel satisfied at all times
  • responsible for maintenance of tables in assigned section
  • must attend and participate in pre-shift meetings
  • maximize revenue by using suggestive selling techniques
  • inform leaders of comments related to quality and service from guests both positive and negative
  • knowledge of and compliance with all items covered in the Miraval Employee Handbook
  • assume all duties and responsibilities as assigned by leaders
