Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Three to six months experience in food/beverage service
  • Vision ability to see detailed guest checks and written instructions
  • Manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items, and carry trays
  • Ability to read, speak and understand English
  • Physical ability to lift 20 to 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand continuously for long periods
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff and guests

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to memorize menu items and specials
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Capability to stand for long periods and lift 20 to 40 lbs
  • Understanding of hospitality standards and guest service etiquette

Job Duties

  • Greet and take drink orders from bar customers, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests
  • Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards
  • Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side-work as instructed
  • Memorize bar menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant, wait-station, and kitchen service areas to comply with health regulations
  • Control allocated guest checks by documenting all required information accurately
  • Receive and verify proper payment from guests to safeguard customer and company
  • Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communication and product knowledge
  • Respond to customer inquiries and comments promptly to provide quality service
  • Present a clean and professional appearance at all times
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor using tact in customer service situations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
