Job Requirements
- Possess CA Food Handlers Card
- Be able to work late hours
- Have a flexible schedule
- Demonstrate working knowledge of cocktail tray service, basic food service, responsible alcohol service, drink recipes, garnishes, and point of sale systems
- Have at least 3 years of positive interaction experience
- Show tolerance toward all cultures, music, and art forms
- Hold Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent
- Have ability to deal with intoxicated guests positively and safely
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Job Duties
- Anticipate and respond to guests’ needs
- Suggestively sell beverages and menu items
- Take orders and communicate them to the bar through the Point of Sale system
- Deliver drinks while maneuvering trays through large crowds
- Maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating throughout the work area
- Remove dirty glasses and dishes from tables including lifting and moving bus tubs up to 25lbs
- Keep tables clean and wiped
- Clean spills, remove food, trash or other obstacles using proper lifting techniques
- Maintain House of Blues safety and sanitation standards
- Follow housekeeping standards per HOB policy
- Stay current on all standard operating procedures
- Request identification from guests appearing under 30 years of age
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and awareness
- Recognize and address intoxicated guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner
- Receive payments and process cash, credit card or Travelers checks
- Ensure that comp and void checks are processed properly
- Assist other servers and staff as needed
- Occasionally work special events scheduled throughout the venue
