Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience required
- Experience within luxury brands or markets required
- Ability to remain calm and use sound judgment
- Ability to manage multiple tables and prioritize service
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
- Willingness to work varying schedules according to business needs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect company assets
- Compliance with company policies and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED degree, or equivalent training
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in similar roles
- Experience working within luxury brand markets
- Knowledge of wine, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Understanding of guest service etiquette and proper food and beverage serving techniques
- Ability to proficiently use job-related software and property management systems
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate cash handling procedures
- Preferred student or graduate of hotel management
Job Duties
- Greet and interact with internal and external guests in a warm and friendly manner using professional standards
- Operate the telephone system and answer calls courteously within three rings
- Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality of personal information
- Maintain company proprietary information and protect company assets
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items and beverages including beer, liquor, and wine
- Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage suggestions
- Explain, pair and recommend wines from the wine list
- Serve food and beverages professionally and efficiently
- Clear and reset tables after each course
- Assist dining room servers with food and beverage service, including setting tables and providing beverage support
- Remove and replace linens
- Transport dirty dishes to dishwashing station
- Polish silver and glassware as needed
- Seat guests and relay orders to the kitchen through POS
- Accurately total bills and accept payments
- Utilize property management systems and follow cash handling procedures
- Set up bar and dining room areas efficiently
- Assist bartenders as required
- Complete opening and closing procedures and daily side-work
- Maintain a neat and organized work area adhering to sanitation standards
- Follow all company policies, safety, and security procedures
- Welcome guests with disabilities and accommodate their needs
- Develop positive working relationships and support team goals
- Attend required training and meetings
- Perform any other duties as assigned
