Job Requirements
- Meet state legal age requirements
- At least high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in a fast paced food and beverage environment
- Alcohol awareness certification or valid food service permit required
- Must be able to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and move efficiently throughout shift
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferably nightclub environment
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred
- Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
- Able to read and write for taking orders and completing paperwork
- Basic math skills for handling cash and credit
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
- Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
- Up-sell when taking orders
- Show energy, outgoing personality, and maintain professionalism
- Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
- Communicate effectively and clearly with coworkers and kitchen staff verbally and using point of sales system
- Communicate with guests clearly, patiently and with good humor
- Be knowledgeable in all menu items and concept products to guide guests and promote sales
- Check guests' identification to ensure age requirements
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption and notify management of incidents
- Complete all assigned side work
- Accurately account for all sales and payments
- Alert management of service or safety issues and perform service recovery
- Promote teamwork and communicate daily with other departments
- Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen regarding food and beverage orders and receipt
