Job Requirements
- Must be at least legal age to serve alcohol as per state laws
- Minimum of 1 year serving experience in fast paced food and beverage venue
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Alcohol awareness certification or food service permit or health/food handler card as required
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, move, bend, stoop, and kneel efficiently during shifts
- Must provide outstanding and professional guest service with a positive attitude
- Must work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast paced food and beverage venue
- Experience preferably in nightclub environment
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred
- Courteous, pleasant, and good natured
- Strong communication skills for interaction with guests and staff
- Possession of alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government
- Reading and writing abilities used frequently when taking orders and completing paperwork
- Basic math skills used for cash and credit handling
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
- Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
- up-sell when taking orders
- Show energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism
- Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
- Communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff
- Utilize the point of sales system efficiently
- Communicate with guests clearly, patiently, and with good humor
- Be well-versed in all concept products and menu items to guide guest experience
- Consistently check guests' identification to ensure age compliance
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption
- Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired guests
- Complete all assigned side work
- Accurately account for all sales and payments
- Alert management of service or safety issues
- Make appropriate service recovery gestures
- Promote teamwork and quality service with daily communication and coordination
- Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for food and beverage orders and receipt
