Job Requirements

  • Must be at least the legal age to serve alcohol in the state
  • minimum 1 year serving experience in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • able to stand and move throughout the facility during shift
  • able to bend, stoop, and kneel as needed
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team
  • possession of alcohol awareness certification or valid food handling permit if required
  • able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced food and beverage venue
  • preferably nightclub environment
  • knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
  • must meet state legal age requirements
  • must speak fluent English
  • other languages preferred
  • courteous, pleasant, and good-natured
  • strong communication skills for interaction with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
  • alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food service permit or health/food handler card as required by local or state government
  • ability to read and write effectively
  • basic math skills for handling cash and credit
  • availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
  • serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
  • up-sell when taking orders
  • maintain professionalism while being energetic and outgoing
  • provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
  • communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and via point of sales system
  • communicate with guests clearly, patiently and with good humor
  • be well-versed in all concept products and menu items to guide guest experience and sell food and beverage items
  • consistently check guests' identification for legal alcohol consumption requirements
  • monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service
  • notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption
  • complete all assigned side work
  • accurately account for all sales and payments from guests
  • alert management of any service and/or safety issues
  • make service recovery gestures to ensure guest satisfaction
  • promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with other departments
  • coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
