Job Requirements
- Open availability including weekends and holidays
- minimum of 2 years' experience in high-volume full service restaurant
- basic knowledge of dining room service procedures
- working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor
- basic math skills and cash handling experience
- ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds safely
- strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, engaging attitude
- must be able to operate Point-of-Sale systems efficiently
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' high-volume full service experience
- a warm, friendly, and engaging personality
- must have a basic knowledge of dining room service procedures and functions
- have a working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drinks
- possess basic math skills, cash handling procedures, and knowledge of Point-of-Sale system
- must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 5 hours
- must be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers
- serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant's standard drink recipes
- learn the names and personally recognize our regulars
- record drink orders accurately and immediately input order into the point of sales system
- accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change if applicable
- wash and sterilize glassware
- maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- clear and reset tables in bar area
- present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages and food
- maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas
- receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
- report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager
- assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
- greet guests who pass within 5ft
