Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • three to six months experience in a food or beverage services environment
  • must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions
  • must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages
  • able to read, speak and understand English
  • able to lift, push, carry 20 to 40 lbs
  • stand continuously for long periods of time
  • communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests
  • TIPS certification required

Job Duties

  • Greet and take drink orders from lounge guests
  • serve orders and accommodate special needs or requests
  • remain attentive to guests throughout the lounge experience adhering to service standards
  • accurately record and enter all food and beverage items
  • maintain knowledge of beverage menus, brand selections, prices and garnishes
  • perform lounge setup including replenishing snacks, emptying ashtrays, controlling music and ambience, and bussing tables
  • maximize sales using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques
  • conduct oneself in a professional manner within guest view
  • maintain cleanliness and orderly work areas
  • collect accurate payments and ensure responsible alcohol service
  • maintain appearance and uniform standards
  • develop positive communication and teamwork with coworkers and supervisors
  • handle guest service issues promptly and professionally
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
