Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as scheduled
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form using common sense
  • must have excellent communication skills
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • ability to effectively present proper phone etiquette
  • ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues to resolve problems diplomatically
  • ability to present information and respond to questions from groups and the general public
  • must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations
  • must successfully complete responsible alcohol service training

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • prior food handling, cashier and/or attendant experience preferred
  • prior knowledge of proper food holding temperatures and cleaning chemicals preferred but not required
  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • ability to present proper phone etiquette
  • ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues diplomatically
  • ability to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • must successfully complete applicable responsible alcohol service training

Job Duties

  • Provides personalized service and uses guest name
  • resolves service problems according to guidelines
  • serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions
  • promotes casino events and programs
  • provides fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests
  • monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
  • takes drink orders, communicates with bartender, assists in the preparation of drinks and presents drinks to guests
  • handles money according to procedure
  • works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
  • maintains clean and stocked workstation
