Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as scheduled
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form using common sense
- must have excellent communication skills
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- ability to effectively present proper phone etiquette
- ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues to resolve problems diplomatically
- ability to present information and respond to questions from groups and the general public
- must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations
- must successfully complete responsible alcohol service training
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- prior food handling, cashier and/or attendant experience preferred
- prior knowledge of proper food holding temperatures and cleaning chemicals preferred but not required
- must be at least 21 years of age
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- ability to present proper phone etiquette
- ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues diplomatically
- ability to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
- must successfully complete applicable responsible alcohol service training
Job Duties
- Provides personalized service and uses guest name
- resolves service problems according to guidelines
- serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions
- promotes casino events and programs
- provides fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests
- monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
- takes drink orders, communicates with bartender, assists in the preparation of drinks and presents drinks to guests
- handles money according to procedure
- works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
- maintains clean and stocked workstation
