Job Duties
- Anticipate and respond to guests' needs
- suggestively sell beverages and menu items
- take orders
- answer guest questions
- make recommendations
- up-sell liquors
- communicate drink orders to bar through Point of Sales system
- deliver drinks
- maneuver trays through large crowds
- maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating through work area
- remove dirty glasses and dishes from tables including lifting and moving bus tubs up to 25lbs
- keep tables clean and wiped
- clean spills
- remove food
- trash or obstacles from floor using proper lifting techniques
- keep current on standard operating procedures
- request identification from any guest appearing under 30 years
- ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and company policies
- recognize when guests are intoxicated and refuse further service courteously and safely
- bring intoxicated guest concerns to manager
- receive payment and process transactions per policy
- ensure comp and void checks are processed per policy
- assist other servers and staff as needed
