Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Three to six months in a food/beverage services environment or establishment
  • Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions
  • Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages
  • Able to read, speak and understand English
  • Able to lift, push, carry 20 to 40 lbs
  • Stand continuously for long periods of time
  • Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests
  • Tips Certification required

Job Duties

  • Greet and take drink orders from lounge guests, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests
  • Remain attentive to guests throughout the lounge experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards
  • Accurately record and enter all food and beverage items
  • Maintain knowledge of beverage menus, brand selections, prices, and garnishes
  • Responsible for lounge setup including replenishing snacks, emptying ashtrays, controlling recorded music, ambience, and bussing tables
  • Maximize sales using menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques
  • Conduct oneself professionally and maintain appearance and uniform standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of lounge and service areas
  • Collect accurate payment from guests and ensure responsible service to prevent intoxication
  • Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with co-workers and supervisors
  • Handle guest service issues immediately and professionally
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
