Job Requirements

  • Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to efficiently and safely stand and move about the entire facility during each shift
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting
  • Must be able to provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to complete side work
  • Accurately handle sales and payments
  • Must meet state legal age requirements
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of serving in a fast-paced food and beverage venue
  • Preferably nightclub experience
  • Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
  • Must meet state legal age requirements
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Courtesy and pleasant nature
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required
  • Reading and writing abilities
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
  • Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
  • Up-sell when taking orders
  • Show energy, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism
  • Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and via POS system
  • Communicate with guests clearly, patiently and with good humor
  • Be well-versed in all products and menu items to guide guest experience and sell food and beverages
  • Consistently check guest identification to ensure legal age requirements
  • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service
  • Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired guests
  • Complete all side work assigned
  • Accurately account for all sales and payments
  • Alert management of service and safety issues
  • Make appropriate service recovery gestures
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily coordination with other departments
  • Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
