Job Requirements
- Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to efficiently and safely stand and move about the entire facility during each shift
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting
- Must be able to provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to complete side work
- Accurately handle sales and payments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Ability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least 1 year of serving in a fast-paced food and beverage venue
- Preferably nightclub experience
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English
- Courtesy and pleasant nature
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required
- Reading and writing abilities
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner
- Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests
- Up-sell when taking orders
- Show energy, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism
- Provide outstanding and professional service with a smile
- Communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff verbally and via POS system
- Communicate with guests clearly, patiently and with good humor
- Be well-versed in all products and menu items to guide guest experience and sell food and beverages
- Consistently check guest identification to ensure legal age requirements
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service
- Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired guests
- Complete all side work assigned
- Accurately account for all sales and payments
- Alert management of service and safety issues
- Make appropriate service recovery gestures
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily coordination with other departments
- Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages
