Job Requirements

  • Works in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled area
  • physical exertion including frequent standing, stooping, walking, reaching, handling and pushing
  • lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 lbs
  • knowledge of alcoholic beverages and cocktails
  • must be able to legally serve alcohol
  • knowledge and use of cash register
  • high level customer service skills
  • possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • minimal exposure to infectious diseases

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • at least 1 year of bartending experience preferred
  • knowledge of alcoholic beverages and cocktails
  • ability to legally serve alcohol
  • knowledge and use of cash register
  • high level customer service skills
  • good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Verifies the identification and age of customers
  • welcome customers
  • prepares and serves beverages at the customer's request
  • makes order suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
  • plans drink menus and informs customers about new beverages and specials
  • upsell to a top-shelf liquor without being rude or pushy
  • mixes traditional and creative cocktails
  • processes payment from customers
  • opens and maintains tabs throughout the shift
  • balances cash receipts to record sales
  • cleans glasses and bar utensils
  • builds a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
  • obeys all federal, state, and local laws
  • perform other duties as assigned by the Bar Manager
