Job Duties

  • Responsible for preparing food precisely and efficiently according to executive chef specifications and customer requests
  • prepare and set up the line station before each service start
  • ensure all necessary supplies and food items for the shift are available and ready to use
  • store and maintain sufficient food products in the line station to guarantee seamless service
  • prepare food as required including items for other stations or special events and buffets
  • consistently comply with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies as per health department guidelines
  • prepare foods promptly and accurately meeting temperature, portion control, and presentation specifications
  • maintain daily cleanliness and hygiene of the work station including tables, shelves, grills, fryers, burners, ovens, stoves, refrigeration units
  • clean the line at the end of service and assist with closing duties
  • handle, store, and rotate all food products correctly
  • accept food deliveries and place items in appropriate storage areas
  • assist in developing new recipes and stay updated on culinary trends
  • demonstrate positive attitude towards special customer requests with urgency, attention, and courtesy
  • maintain proper personal hygiene with uniform and appearance
  • perform other duties as assigned by the executive chef or sous chef
