Job Requirements

  • Availability on weekends and holidays
  • ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • 18 years of age or older
  • physically able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment including tolerating heat and cold
  • willingness to adhere strictly to uniform and cleanliness standards
  • prior culinary experience preferred but not required
  • strong customer service skills
  • positive and energetic demeanor
  • capability to stand or walk on hard surfaces for 10 to 12 hours
  • ability to reach, bend, lift, carry, crouch, and clean
  • comply with safety and hygiene regulations

Job Duties

  • Establish and maintain a clean and organized station
  • count all preparation items verifying quality and proper rotation
  • measure and gather all ingredients and cook items according to specifications
  • prepare assigned items as per specifications and prep list
  • label, date, rotate, and properly store all prepared items using FIFO system
  • return bulk items to the cooler as food is prepared to keep them out of the danger zone
  • possess adequate knowledge to operate each equipment
  • report repair and maintenance needs to kitchen manager
  • work as a team member with clear and constructive communication
