Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • strong teamwork and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • positive attitude and dedication to quality service

Job Qualifications

  • Ideally, two years of proven experience in the kitchen including line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook roles
  • excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • precision and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • familiarity with industry best practices
  • culinary school diploma is not required but is a plus

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items in cooperation with other kitchen staff
  • respond to, report, and follow instructions from the executive chef or sous chef
  • clean station and properly contain food waste
  • inventory stock appropriately
  • ensure food leaves the kitchen simultaneously, of high quality, and in a timely manner
  • comply with allergy controls, sanitation standards, and safety regulations
  • maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
