Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- positive attitude and dedication to quality service
Job Qualifications
- Ideally, two years of proven experience in the kitchen including line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook roles
- excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- precision and speed in executing assigned tasks
- familiarity with industry best practices
- culinary school diploma is not required but is a plus
Job Duties
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
- cook menu items in cooperation with other kitchen staff
- respond to, report, and follow instructions from the executive chef or sous chef
- clean station and properly contain food waste
- inventory stock appropriately
- ensure food leaves the kitchen simultaneously, of high quality, and in a timely manner
- comply with allergy controls, sanitation standards, and safety regulations
- maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
