Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred but not required
- Minimum one year experience in overall department operations or participation in management training program
- Food Safety Handling certificate
- Sufficient math skills
- Ability to hear, speak, and understand spoken English
- Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- Knowledge of department staff duties, policies, and procedures
- Ability to pass a standard drug test
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to work in refrigerated and heated environments
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organizational standards
- Ability to follow hygiene and safety protocols.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred but not required
- Minimum of one year experience in department operations or management training program participation
- Food Safety Handling certificate
- Sufficient math skills for measurements and pricing
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and writing instructions, company policies, and job-related documents
- Knowledgeable of department policies, procedures, and operations
- Ability to pass a standard drug test and comply with Drug Free Workplace Act
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to understand and follow recipes and health guidelines.
Job Duties
- Responsible for the production of food products according to Northgate Markets recipes
- Follow the established recipes and production norms
- Program daily production using production lists and planning tools
- Accurately rotate, label, and date all food products following FIFO rules
- Maintain inventory control of displayed and refrigerated products while meeting quality standards
- Offer rapid and friendly customer service and assist at the customer service line when necessary
- Review product quality before offering to customers and suggest purchases or notify of sales
- Work effectively in a team and communicate with coworkers and leads
- Receive products from vendors or warehouse when needed
- Minimize waste by utilizing loss tracking tools
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and work area according to sanitation and 5S rules
- Follow food safety guidelines including product temperature recording and safe handling
- Ensure quality standards at all times
- Maintain outsourced product quality through communication with leads
- Clean and organize work station and equipment at shift end
- Follow hygiene, appearance, and uniform guidelines
- Report equipment issues and perform other assigned duties.
