Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- Minimum one year experience in department operations or equivalent
- Food safety handling certificate
- Proficient math skills
- Ability to hear, speak and understand English
- Ability to read and comprehend job-related documents
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in refrigerated and heated environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Minimum one year experience in department operations or management training program
- Food safety handling certificate
- Proficient math skills for measurements and pricing
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Knowledge of department procedures, policies and operations
- Ability to pass standard drug test
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Duties
- Cook, prep and fry food products according to Northgate Markets recipes
- Maintain confidentiality of recipes
- Follow health regulations and sanitation standards
- Rotate, label and date food products using FIFO rules
- Maintain inventory control and product quality
- Provide rapid and friendly customer service
- Assist in receiving products from vendors or warehouse
- Minimize waste and report losses
- Keep refrigerators and workstations clean and organized
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Ensure food safety standards and safe handling practices
- Inspect and ensure quality of products offered
- Maintain equipment and report malfunctions
- Perform additional work-related duties as assigned
