Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to recruit and motivate volunteers
  • Ability to accomplish goals
  • Experience in public speaking or facilitating meetings preferred
  • Prior drug prevention experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field preferred
  • At least one year of full-time work experience preferred
  • Prior drug prevention experience preferred
  • Certified as a CPS or APS by the Texas Certification Board preferred
  • Experience in public speaking or facilitating meetings preferred
  • Experience working with local agencies preferred
  • Adept at using programs like PowerPoint
  • Very good writing and communication skills
  • Ability to recruit and motivate volunteers
  • Ability to accomplish goals
  • Effective communication skills in English required
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills a plus
  • Valid Texas driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation required

Job Duties

  • Work with the Coalition Director to ensure that the goals and objectives of the Coalition are met yearly
  • Regularly schedule, organize, and participate in drug-free activities including drug prevention presentations and community-based education and mobilization
  • Host or co-host monthly Coalition meetings
  • Actively engage in various media and public relations duties
  • Recruit and retain Coalition members from all sectors of the community
