Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of training and job-related certifications
Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
Ability to complete cleaning tasks efficiently within given time frames
Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules including shifts and overtime
Punctuality and reliable attendance
Subject to pre-employment background check
Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screening
Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 20 pounds, walking on uneven surfaces, working in confined spaces, adapting to temperature extremes, performing repetitive movements such as bending and reaching
Ability to pass color vision and hearing tests
Adherence to safety and security standards and company policies

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Successfully completes training and attains/retains applicable certifications
Cleaning experience preferred
Some computer skills preferred
Visual acuity and hearing required
Ability to read, write and communicate proficiently

Job Duties

Cleans interior and exterior of passenger rail cars and locomotives
Performs daily cleaning tasks on cars and weekly cleaning in locomotive cab
Collects and removes trash in cars
Cleans windows, seats, tables, doors and panels
Scrubs walls with brushes and cleaning solution
Cleans and polishes stainless steel handrails and trim
Cleans and sanitizes restroom appliances including toilet, vanity, mirror, sink and walls
Mops floors and vacuums carpeting
Cleans offices, restrooms, lunchroom and locker rooms weekly
Removes trash, vacuums, mops floors, cleans toilets, urinals, sinks and shower stalls
Washes cleaning towels
Restocks supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels and cleaning carts
May distribute seat pamphlets periodically
Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
Follows instructions furnished in written and oral form
Completes tasks within a specified time-period
Reports to work on time
Works flexible shifts, schedules and overtime
Understands, follows and implements posted work rules and company procedures
Engages in and promotes Herzog's culture and essential behaviors
Maintains regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
Performs other duties as assigned
